Part of Howard Park’s Distinguished Sites range. The Leston Vineyard is located in the heart of Wilyabrup in the premier wine growing region Margaret River. Parcels were fermented in open top fermenters and closed stainless steel before 18 months maturation in French oak (~25% new). Garnet hue with bright rim. Char and tobacco leaf over cassis, dark chocolate, sea spray and a little iodine, gravel, bay with a hint of meaty beefstock, umami soy and cedary oak.  Excellent example of Margaret River Cabernet. Elegant and structured tannins supporting dark chocolatey oak and succulent cassis. Clean and bright tail and long persistence of flavour. Cellar for 10+ years easily.
