Smart of Howard Park to have this program. Riesling does benefit from ageing and they’ve done it all for you…and for the same price as the current release. Madness. At time of writing, the 2016 is still available on the winery website.

Developing colour: hint of gold through the straw yellow hue. Developing nose, a waxy toffee richness starting to build under white flowers of jasmine and lily with flinty steel, lime zest, slate, green apple and snapped chalk. Still delicate and precise in texture with developing toffee edged citrus and apple flavours pierced with vibrant and juicy acidity. Ageing slowly.
