Sourced from a single vineyard. With partial barrel fermentation and 4 months maturation in old French oak puncheons (on lees). Lightly fined.
Clandestine Vineyards, Pinot Gris, King Valley, 2023
Nashi pear flesh, attractive nuttiness and a little creamy depth from the barrel work, lemon and grapefruit citrus, white florals and white table candle. The handsomeness continues on the palate, with a modicum of texture that acts as a base for pomme and citrus fruits highlighted with a little peppery spice. Focused and zesty finish, though it pulls up a little short.
