Same fruit source this release as the 2021, coming from two of Pokolbin’s older vineyards in Tinkler’s and Will’s Hill.
Gundog Estate, Hunter’s, Shiraz, Hunter Valley, 2022

Bright ruby in hue. Clove, rose petals, red currant, soft pepper spice, bookshelf dust, velvet and a touch of just wet bush gum leaf and creamy, just sweet oak. Silky and attractive. Red fruits and satin tannins meld seamlessly for a smooth experience. Suave with a fruit focus (but not simple) and a fine tail, this is a delicious example of a modern Hunter Shiraz.
