Heggies range now made by Marc Van Halderen and part of the greater Hill-Smith Family Vineyards stable. Label so named as it sits at 500 metres above sea level and often with a little cloud. Fermented and matured for 8 and half months in French oak barriques, with 30% of blend in only 7% new oak and the rest in one year and older oak.

Flinty offset with peachy ripeness, easy nougat, almond croissant, green melon, grapefruit, jasmine blossom and earthy wood. A little creamy richness to wrap some fine, pleasant acidity. Fruit runs to green melon, grapefruit and stone fruit, seasoned with easy ginger spice. Good length of flavour to close. Pleasant, balanced and varietal.
