From the Estate vineyards, planted in the sandy loam soils on Bethany Creek. Fermentation
in new and older American and French oak barrels. 18 months maturation. Winemaker is Jeremy Ottawa.

Château Tanunda, The Château, Bethanian, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2021

Deep garnet to ruby hue. Blueberry conserve and white pepper with sweet vanilla and cedar tinges. Plenty of dark chocolate, roast meat skin and blackcurrant pastille. Syrupy and plush. A little iodine and licorice give a tart, sour contrast and darker tone to fleshy dark plum, chocolate and black tea. Tannins are fine and focused. One for darker side lovers of Barossa Shiraz.
