d’Arenberg, The Sun Surfer, Fiano, McLaren Vale, 2023

Pale lemon/straw colour with near green highlights. Mustard seeds, yellow melon, leafy cress, wet cookie dough (inc raisins), easy stone fruit, feijoa, smoked ham hock and lemon curd. Bittersweet citrus and stone fruit with honeysuckle sweetness and plenty of sharp acidity. Just a little grip through the palate, and to be honest, I was hoping for a little more heft. Otherwise, clean and zesty, though a medium finish.
