A Coles liquor group exclusive (from what I can find). Colourpalate© comes from the prolific team at Fourth Wave Wine. They are notorious for producing great value quaffing wines. I can’t find much information about this one at all, label states Wine Of Australia, but knowing FWW, chances are the majority will come from Limestone Coast. The Colourpalate website (also reached through the back label QR code) is interactive and somewhat informative: choose your favourite flavours and wine style and it will suggest one of their range to satisfy your taste buds, but doesn’t go the next step and get you buying. Possible missed opportunity there. Anyways, the Chardonnay has the following descriptors highlighted on the colour palate: Peachy, citrus, oak hints, stone fruit, buttery and tropical. Maybe I don’t need to write a review?
Colourpalate, Chardonnay, Australia, 2023

Pale lemon to straw in colour. Soft doughy nose, with fleshy and pithy lemon, grapefruit, candlewax, yellow melon and white stone fruit. Some varietal Chardonnay nuances with bittersweet citrus and stone fruit through the slightly chubby palate. There’s a powdery phenolic grip that yields to a green, tart and oxalis/sourgrass-like finish.
