Taylors Estate, Shiraz, Limestone Coast, Clare Valley, 2021
Deep ruby with bright edges. Plush and full, with sweet American oak vanilla and mocha with clove spice, plenty of blood plum, chunky raspberry, black olive tapenade, ferrous blood and a little blueberry muffin. Fleshy and giving. The spice balancing the fruit sweetness with just enough toothsome tannin giving proper frame. Neat balance with enough layers to step beyond ‘easy drinking.’ Ever reliable and good value.
