A change up to the winemaking to the 2022. fermentation in barrel. Partial malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring for 8 months (less than the 2022) in new (10%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads (bigger format than previous).
Château Tanunda, The Château, Chardonnay, Eden Valley, 2023

Medium lemon straw hue. Melon, fig, peach and nougat with grapefruit citrus, sesame oil, peanut, steel, straw and a little cedar. A full bodied Chardonnay that makes no bones about the target audience, but holds good frame with obvious flesh and a little phenolic grip. Maintains freshness with good retention of regional acidity and decent length through the finish.
