Deep garnet in colour. All the good stuff of a GSM Barossa blend, meaty depth, plum, blackberry, cool graphite, sweet oak, a little leather, strawberry hull and calyx (leaf), milk chocolate and there’s even a little smokiness. A little more medium bodied than previous years. Stays neat and tight and eschews opulence but doesn’t forsake flavour. Neat grainy tannin fans out underneath a little of that cool graphite straightness.
