Crittenden, Peninsula, Pinot Gris, Mornington Peninsula, 2023

Light straw in hue. Fresh pear slices and juice, sweet brown spice, fernet herb edges, chamomile tea, almond slivers, lemon zest and a soft kiss of musk. Textured and layered, feeling dense and potent up front before rapier like intensity and acidity through the slaty, minerally close. The musk and pear attempt a sweet revival yet quenched with singed lemon citrus peel. Structure and presence.
