Marchand & Burch, Pinot Noir, Mount Barker, 2023

Medium garnet in hue. Sappy strawberry with dark cherry flesh, broken kitchen herb stalks, navel orange peel, a little peppery stalky WB influence with oak providing some creamy and charry tones. Flowing and silky raspberry and liqueur cherries, distinct orange segment citrus hit, char and some soft meaty charcuterie. Tannins are neatly fine and provide and fine, tight night carpet. Well defined balance and focus. Shows that the West Coast can also produce fine Pinot Noirs.
