Deep bruise purple in colour. Cool Limestone Coast white pepper nuance, worked oaky latte choc mocha, bay leaf, baked tea cake (glace fruit and spice), a touch of dusty S-E rusticity tempered with plum flesh and black pastille. Fleshy and smooth. There’s still a fine amount of silty tannin under the black fruit, with  dark cherry sour acidity poking through and a that lingering choc….but all this points to a drinkable and enjoyable (well priced) release.
