mesh is a product of two giants of Riesling (Jeffrey Grosset and Robert Hill-Smith) but is released from the Hill-Smith Family Estates stable. Made by living legend Louisa Rose.
mesh, Classic Release, Riesling, Eden Valley, 2017

Pale straw with green highlights. Developing and complex nose: lime sorbet, lime marmalade, flannelette sheets, green apple flesh, soft talc, honeycomb, lime juice, unearthed white stones, fresh straw and blossom-filled spring breezes. Only a suggestion of toasty flesh starting to develop across a layered and focused framework. There’s still primary grip and tension: steely and rigid. There’s a fresh and lengthy drive from intense acidity, with plenty of lime and mineral cleanliness.
