Ringbolt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Magaret River, 2022

Deep garnet with a crimson edge. Easy char, cassis and bay leaf. Sweet oak tinges through crisp filo pastry crust, black cherry, deep violet blossoms and comforting mocha. Medium flesh with well knitted and tight tannins. A step up from 2021’s bright fruit focus: the framework is enjoyable now and will give it some medium term cellaring. Margaret River inherent sea spray undertone gives a savoury nuance, welcomed across the black and blue fruit. Match with slow cooked lamb shoulder on couscous.
