Longview Twin Palms Pinot Noir 2024

The second release of this label (clones 114, 145 and 777). Winemaking sees stainless steel ferment with 6 months maturation in old French oak puncheons.

Longview, Twin Palms, Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills, 2024

Longview Twin Palms

Medium garnet to ruby. Warmer climate is obvious, but still varietal: Cherry flesh, plum sauce, crunchy pastry, minced ginger, chocolate ganache, orange rind, a little meaty pâté, shaved truffle and leafy undergrowth. A little leaner than the nose suggests, which is welcome, yet still with vibrant flesh up front. Silky tannins lead to crunchy acidity. The tail isn’t long, but there’s plenty of enjoyment.

RRP: $32
Alc: 13%
Rating: 91/100
