Fruit from M&B/Howard Park’s Great Southern vineyards. Handpicked fruit, whole bunch pressed,, natural ferment in French oak barriques, hogsheads and puncheons (33% new, 33% 1 year old, 33% older). Stirred weekly until dry, then settled on lees in barrel and tank with some parcels going through malolactic fermentation.

Medium light straw hue. French oak richness over buttery nougat and nutty flesh, well tempered with flinty and mineral lines. Richness of stone fruit and grapefruit flesh, spice of oak and tail of fine length and focus. Nicely layered, textural and structured.
