Kyneton Ridge, Reserve Pinot Noir, Macedon Ranges, 2024

Deep garnet in colour. Savoury and earthy:  sappy dark cherry nearing cassis, with plenty of twiggy forest floor, thyme, turned earth coffee grounds, blackberry, umami nori, burnt orange rind, baked pastry and wrapped with creamy and toasty oak. Well structured, whole bunch influenced with spice and ripe fruit. Jubey fruit supported by judicious use of oak. The finish is a little short, but balanced and clean. Neatly done.
