I’m not sure if it is pronounced ‘suns’ will’ or ‘sun swill.’ But anyways: Minimal intervention winemaking. Organic and vegan friendly. 5% of sales are donated to sustainable initiatives.
Days & Daze, Sunswill, Pinot Gris, McLaren Vale, 2025
Onion skin bronzing hue to the wine indicating some skin contact. Savoury/sweet yin/yang nose: Nashi pear, honeycomb, pink apple, brine, roast almond, fresh hay bale and candle wax. Weighty and juicy, giving the appropriate buttery palate heft expected of a Gris style with a close of savoury almond and pears. There’s a suggestion of rosewater and pink apple to balance out the savoury angles. Nothing complex, but a wine that does good for the planet.
