Yarrabank Sparkling is a joint product of the Champagne house of Devaux and Victoria’s Yering Station. ‘Traditional’ method, 4 years on lees, no Malolactic fermentation for the Chardonnay and sealed with DIAM ‘cork.’ This particular bottle was enjoyed overlooking the amazing Great Oyster Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula.
Yarrabank Vintage Sparkling, Yarra Valley, 2010
Soft biscuits, perfumed lemon citrus, cheesy complexity and dusty hessian sacks.
Crisp and inviting on the palate: biscuity and flowery mousse. A swathe of acid slices like a scimitar, circular and sharp. Power from the red fruit pinot with an inkling of vanilla aged character. Very good clone of a vintage Champagne.
RRP: $38
Alc: 13%
