Voyager Estate Project 95 Chardonnay, Stevens Valley, Margaret River, 2012

A Chardonnay nose that you want to smell and smell again: Creamy blossom, lemon, match heads and flinty, salt and stone fruit. Tastes fruit sweet initially, then a fizzy acidity gives way to return to rich peach and nectarine and a little tinned corn, yet retains a savoury balance. Lemon drop citrus lingers and lingers. This is mature (as in adult, not aged) and serious.
