Brokenwood, Indigo Vineyard, Chardonnay, Beechworth, 2016

Powerful and driven, yet with balance. Almost lime citrus with light fig, white stonefruit, smoky oak and white florals. The palate brings layered, complex barrel ferment notes along with light oatmeal and light flickers of flinty struck match sulphides. Acidity is incredibly well judged and leaves such a juicy, linear finish in the mouth that a second sip (glass) is immediately warranted. Another stellar release from Brokenwood.
