Apologies for the delay in posts, I’ve had a bit a break for Easter and my birthday. Normal programming resuming now. This wine sees 14 months in older French and American Oak.
Di Giorgio Family Wines, Montepulciano, Limestone Coast, 2015
Opens with iodine and gravel before oxygenation draws out tinned blue fruits, violets, balsamic, strawberry and yet a saline light squid ink. Slightly oily mouth feel and tight little blue berries with a salty, peppery savoury tang. Finishes with a good fruit finish and some toothsome tannins. Requires parpadelle and lamb ragu
RRP: $23
