TarraWarra Estate, Reserve, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2015

It’s a boy! Warming cola and upfront oak. Black jellybeans, torn garden herbs, cherry halves, vanilla bean, black marble. Hold fast, you! Who goes there? Tobacco and clove studded leather with vibrant, almost smirking cherry fruit. Raspberry, cola and coffee bean hits, toasted brown spices, violets, rose petals, singed orange rind, suave oak and grizzly, creeping but insistent tannins. A bold expression from a good vintage. A quick decant or approach on the second day.
