Berton Vineyards, Metal Range, Vermentino, Riverina, 2017

The wine pours as a light gold colour. A hint of brine and chalk underneath blanket of light tropical fruit and lemon pith aromas. Very clean and precise palate of pleasant light lemon drop and starfruit (carambola) with a patient, chalky mouth-feel.  Excellent value and punches well above its price range/weight.
