The steady hands of Clare Halloran and Adam McCallum craft intense, balanced and focused wines in the Yarra Valley. Under their watch, rosé is not a trivial thing
TarraWarra Estate, Pinot Noir, Rosé, Yarra Valley, 2017
The wine in the glass is a blushing peach colour, not nearly as cerise as the bottle image suggests. Orange zest, just ripe strawberry, cherry and even a touch of chocolate alongside more savoury elements such as straw cuttings. Delicate, finely boned with precise soft fruit. Straddling the line dexterously between tart and riper flavours, this is ultimately a savoury experience that deserves all accolades.
