Red Knot by Shingleback, Rosé, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, 2017
A pale dusky rose colour. Perfumed and fragrant nose: carrying ripe strawberry, guava, cherry and light musk. The blend works well with the structure from the pinot and shiraz with the plump red fruits of grenache. The 5 grams (per litre) of residual sugar providing a little rounded kiss at the finish of a surprisingly textured palate, but the overall effect is a still one of a dry wine. Refreshing and exceptionally food friendly. Very good value.
