An almost identical blend to the Red Knot which is made for Woolworth’s stores, while this is made for the Coles group. There’s a slight tweak of more pinot and less shiraz: 66% Pinot Noir, 23% Shiraz and 11% Grenache, which means more from the Adelaide Hills (24%) and the rest from McLaren Vale and 24% Adelaide Hills. Carries more residual sugar, reaching into Medium Dry territory. Also just claims bragging rights to the trophy cabinet too, taking out the trophy for Best Rosé in Show at the 2017 Royal Queensland Wine Show and Silver Medals at the 2017 Royal Adelaide Wine and Royal Melbourne Wine shows. Exclusive to Vintage Cellars and Shingleback’s online store.

A pale coral colour. A pronounced nose with cherries, strawberries, cranberries and orange citrus. Flavours run to ripe red fruits with rose petal floral hints. Carries a heftier load than its sibling, with a more mouth filling palate weight, but still maintaining a crisp finish. A well balanced, modern rosé at a very good price. Serve with freshly sliced charcuterie plate.
