Red Knot by Shingleback, Chardonnay, McLaren Vale, 2016

Presents in the glass with a light pale yellow colour. Crowd pleasing, fruit driven nose with lemon peel, melon, peach jam, cashew nut and a just frying/smoky butter in the pan creamy note. Mid-weight palate, with the same bright and fresh flavours as the nose. There’s nothing too complex about this wine; it carries its regionality of the riper fruit profile with relative ease and a fair clip of crisp acidity. Decent value if you need something for the office drinks on a Friday afternoon.
