Opens up with sweet, sweaty toasty vanilla oak before stone fruit kernel, almond husk, old lemon drop lollies with a distracting green snow pea note also present. Angular palate presenting somewhat unbalanced stone fruit skin, preserved lemon and barley. Hard, sharp bitter acids make for sour grapefruit and medicinal quinine finish. Unfortunately not a patch on the 2016
