94% Cabernet here with dashes of 3% each Malbec and Merlot. Sourced from the Churinga Vineyard, (north of Watervale) and only the 4th release. French oak maturation (only 20% new). Winemaker is Marnie Roberts.

Claymore Wines, Black Magic Woman, Cabernet Sauvignon, Clare Valley, 2015

Powerful and evocative black fruit perfume with cassis, pencil box, plum sauce, shaved fennel and dusty chalkboard. Broad palate and keenly spiced. With layers of blackcurrant, plum and cherry flesh, pink peppercorn spice, cooling gravel and spearmint. Nervy acidity offsets intense, chewy tannins. It feels like it wants to to scream, the label could not be more apt.
