gt is of course short for gewürztraminer. A traditionally Alsatian variety, these can be sweet with luscious rose petal or savoury with palate weight.
Rymill, gt, Gewürztraminer, Coonawarra, 2018
A touch of sulphur again on the nose that blows off to show pear skin, lychee, nettles, light brown spice and hessian sack. The palate similar with pear flesh and juice, light citrus and subtle lychee tropical hints. Good varietal palate weight and texture. Fruit closes out shortish, but pleasantly. A match for weightier white meat dishes or even spicier cuisines.
