Currently not listening to The Clash, but Slipknot as I try to educate #MrsDrew about the finer points of one the few ‘nu metal’ bands that actually made it through the 1990’s and maintains relevance today. Anyways.
Claymore Wines, London Calling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Clare Valley, 2017
Lifted kitchen herb notes with an amaro bent, carried long by the cabernet body of blackcurrant and savoury olive. There’s black jelly beans with a juicy bright lift too. Herby and fun. Generous. The palate is cheeky with fine tannins and a lip-smacking finish counterpoint. An easy choice for a big bowl of mushroom and lamb ragu over pappardelle or forequarter lamb chops on the bbq.
