Grant Burge Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

One of the Icon range from the Grant Burge stable, with fruit coming off the Corryton Park vineyard in the Eden Valley, along with selected vineyards from the Barossa Valley floor.

Grant Burge, Shadrach, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barossa, 2012

Sumptuous: positively dripping with rich chocolate and blackberry jus with just-after-rain-eucalypt and graphite pencil. Flashes of cool climate influences with savoury dark edges. Pure power with undeniable quality. Layers and layers of primary dark fruit seem ageless as if the years have been mere moments. Tannins are just starting to integrate: remaining potent and mouth coating. Cellaring for 20 years more will not be an issue.
