Bremerton Bâtonnage Shiraz/Malbec 2017

Whilst not the top of Bremerton’s list….the pair of Bâtonnage wines are without a doubt a premium product.14 months in French oak barriques with regular lees stirring (bâtonnage) of the Malbec.

Bremerton, Bâtonnage, Shiraz, Malbec, Langhorne Creek, 2017

As previous vintages, this has delicious balance between sweet syrupy violets and deep plummy notes to earthier, savoury licorice, white pepper and boot polish with herbal, fresh rosemary. Full bodied with an almost crunchy tannin finish. Bitter herb, yeast spread and meaty jus tail follows ripe and ready red-ringed fruit.

RRP: $32
Alc: 14.5%
Rating: 17/20
