Western Australia is arguably home to the best Sem/Sauv Blanc blends in the land.
West Cape Howe, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Western Australia, 2019
Rich and fresh aromas with plenty of varietal passion fruit, fresh asparagus from the SB with even a hint of blackcurrant leaf and a suggestion of sliced pawpaw. The Semillon offers clean citrus lines, acting like an anti-bacterial wipe. Slightly earthier and more herbaceous than previous years while retaining plenty of zip. The body lithe and crisp. Flavours run through lime citrus to crisp green capsicum while there’s a touch of drying, sour phenolics. Those who like the style won’t be disappointed.
