One of Bremerton’s flagship reds. Packaged in a unique bottle: tall, slim and heavy. Bottled under cork (hidden under a small paper cap). The Bremerton team have just rolled to the 2016, but there should be plenty of this about.
Bremerton, Old Adam, Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, 2015
Deep/opaque purple with just a hint of brightness at the rim. Cola, ginger and coconut oak over pink peppercorns, rich plum and an attractive rocky ferrous line. Bold and big but not shouty. Maybe a little slippery on the texture with waxy tannin yet it manages to escape the heat. Oak plays its part but has started to integrate neatly and the finish is fruit long and maintains integrity. A balanced example of how to do big reds.
