Yes, I just got around to posting the 2015 but then the 2016 arrived pretty quickly. One half of Bremerton’s flagship reds. Stately bottle: tall, slim and heavy. Bottled under DIAM cork (hidden under a small paper cap).
Bremerton, Old Adam, Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, 2016
The alcohol brought down a touch from previous years. Aromas of damp plums, tobacco, rich chocolate raspberry, red licorice with sharp smoky and spicy oak influences and whiff of pot pourri. Powerful and intense. Concentrated fruit profile being tightly hemmed in by gauze like, pervasive drying tannin. Dark fruit feels cloaked by the oak in youth and will need time to develop and bloom.
