A little while ago, Berton released a trio of Limited Shiraz, which were excellent value for the dollars. Here, we’re almost seeing a “Flagship” release of a Barossa Valley Limited Shiraz at $25! Sourced from the sub area of Ebenezer.
Berton Vineyards, Limited, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2018
Rich coffee (smells like a double shot latte), vanilla drenched plum, cherry, wooden cigarillo tip, some waxy lipstick and light chary oak. Full bodied but showing good fruit. Well wrought with even tannins that calm and dry the well judged dark fruit. A lift of bright acidity for freshness. Overall package is balanced and value for money.
RRP: $25
Alc: 14.5%
Rating: 18/20 (92/100)
