A blend of Eden and Barossa Valleys (Rowland Flat & Ebenezer) from the very good Barossa vintage.
Berton Vineyards, Reserve, Shiraz, Barossa, 2018
Warm cake spice, milky chocolate, plum, crushed blackberry, cedar and an almost Humbug boiled lolly hint. Smooth and fine entry, smears of dark plum, black cherry and CWA blackberry fruit conserve (with the big berry chunks) punctuated by piquant peppery spice. Acid is a little nervy, but the finish is clean with fine, satiny tannin lingers with some spiced smoke. Solid.
