From the Nagambie region in Central Victoria, Tahbilk were to celebrate their 160th anniversary this year, but like a lot of celebrations for many other things, they’ve had to delay. No delay in enjoying this 2020 release however.
Tahbilk, Riesling, Nagambie Lakes, 2020
Showing a pale lemon colour with a light green edge. Aromatic limes and lemons with a richer orange “tic tac” citrus over lychee and rosewater sweetness/depth and white rose florals. Good focus of acid drive to offset a little more depth than most young Rieslings have. Plenty of limey citrus flavour that carries well through the finish. Good now and potential to age over the next few years.
