Made from a single block on the estate on 45+ year old vines.. Mix of new to 4 year old French and American oak for around 20 months.
Blue Pyrenees Estate, Section One, Shiraz, Pyrenees, 2018
Vibrant violet purple colour. Dense, yet floral. Violets and crushed bluestone earth with blueberry, liqueur-filled chocolates, peppery spice, chary oak and cool mint. Svelte and assertive. There’s delicious darkness counterpointed with balance and deep-set flavour that only old vines can start to give. Tannins are velvety and firm, ensuring length through the flavour. Large rib eye cut of steak for this one.
