d’Arenberg, The Sensorial Surfer, Fiano, McLaren Vale, 2021

Pale lemon/straw colour with near green highlights. Mustard seed, green melon, spiced tea bun, cress, feijoa to just ripe tropical fruits.  Despite the appearance and nose, there’s a fair heft to the palate. Broad and creamy with green melon and pear fruit profile, there’s a saving grace of a sharp thrust of acidity through the back end. First release of the wine and I think we’ll see the winemaking evolve and gain more experience.
