The second release for Longview’s Queenie with her new coat, (here’s what she used to look like.) Longview have a bit of silverware in the trophy cabinet for this label.
Longview, Queenie, Pinot Grigio, Adelaide Hills, 2021
Staying well in the Grigio lane with pear (brown and green), dusty candle wax, malt flakes and dried flowers. Heftier than the 2020, with an intent focus on fuller fruit delivery rather than the lean, sharp acid profile of that release. Toothsome chalkiness and lip smacking, long drying finish make this a cut above many Pinot Gris and Grigio.
