Winemaker is Rollo Crittenden keeps it fairly consistent: 15% whole bunch, 11 months in French oak barriques and puncheons, however a drop in oak bill for this year with only 15% new. Mix of clones: Pommard, MV6, 114 and 115.
Crittenden Estate, Zumma, Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula, 2022

Deep garnet with a crimson edge. Rich nose: steeping plums, strawberry jam, warm tea bun spice, ferrous steel, singed orange zest citrus, bergamot tea, thyme leaves, fallen autumn leaves and with a little fruits of the forest ice cream. Medium flesh, savoury and earthen with fine, fly-screen tannins. Sapid cherry, plum and deep strawberry flesh flaked with a little peppery bunch spice. Good to go now.
