Howard Park, Miamup, Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, 2023
Lovely dark garnet hue. Chomped cigar, drenched in cassis, blackberry conserve, torn bay leaf, cedary oak, young eucalypt, black tea with sweeter boysenberry edges, chary burnt ends and savoury black olive. Plentiful, savoury and dusty tannins make for a great frame. There’s fleshy blackberry overlaid with those herbaceous elements, all well balanced through a long tail. Great expression of Mod Oz Cab Sauv and fantastic value.
