A year on from the 2025 release: Pinot Noir (75%) and Chardonnay (25%). Base wine saw 9 months maturation in French oak (15% new). A little extra time in bottle for this release.
Kyneton Ridge, Sparkling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay Macedon Ranges, NV
Pale straw with hint of gold gilding. Super fine and fast beading. Complex and showing the benefit of development in the bottle. Marzipan, nougat, peach slices over briny roast chicken, lemon tart crust, macadamia paste while still with primary sea spray, citrus blossom and lemon zest. Elegant mousse. Creamy up front and mid palate: hints of vanilla bean and red bean cake over soft doughy pastry, yellow stone fruit, lime and feijoa. There’s a little sweetness through a citrusy and fine tail, with bright acidity and a juicy close.
