Part of the Hill-Smith Family Estate Vineyards and labels. Part of the ‘Parish’ range which sees fruit from southern and northern Tasmanian. This plot comes from Evandale, a tiny hamlet on the outskirts of Launceston in the north, and pretty much at the base of the regions around the town (Tamar and Pipers). 40% of the blend was fermented and matured in old French oak barrels for further complexity.
Parish Vineyards, Pinot Gris, Evandale, Tasmania 2025
![]()
A little riper than the 2024 with rosewater and melon over brown pear, raw sugar, pink apple, mineral water freshness, green rocket/arugula leaves, macadamia and soft honeysuckle. Juicy acidity drives this with green apple and lime tartness over varietal pear flesh. Neatly textured with a hint of Gris weight thanks to the barrel work providing a savoury base. A fine tail with an almost salty finish. Plenty of character and shows quality of winemaking.
