Label change after LVMH got a bit upset with cheeky Chester previously calling this bubbles “Dadd.” Now this one honours his mum Pauline, who was better known as Pollyanna Polly. Let’s hope Pol Roger don’t come knocking.

d’Arenberg Pollyanna Polly Sparkling, Adelaide Hills, NV

64% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 6% Meunier. 4 years aging on lees.  Clean white flowers, white bread, along with green apple skin and slices. Pleasing red fruits bob up along the stream of delicate light nutty chardonnay juice. The mouth feel is gentle and mousse pleasant. A lovely aperitif style with juicy acidity, but lacking a little complexity for the price.
